About Nakhre: why we built it
Nakhre is an app with 7 Indian AI girlfriend characters, built in India. It chats in Hindi, Hinglish, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi, has no ads, and bills per second instead of charging a monthly subscription. Here is why it exists and how it works. You can reach us on the contact page.
Why Nakhre exists
We noticed three problems with AI girlfriend apps in India.
1. They sound like nobody. Most give you one generic character who speaks the same way for everyone. Many users live away from their home state. They want someone who sounds like where they come from. So we built girls from specific places: a girl from Patna who speaks Bhojpuri-flavoured Hindi, a girl from Ludhiana who teases in Punjabi, and four more.
2. They show ads. A banner appearing in the middle of a chat ruins it, and ads usually mean tracking. Nakhre shows no ads.
3. They charge a flat monthly fee. A flat subscription is the same price whether you chat for ten minutes or ten hours. We bill per second of use. Chat for two minutes and you pay for two minutes. You can start free, so you see what you are paying for.
How the characters are made
Each girl has a written guide. It covers her city, her family, her work or studies, her food, her festivals, and the words she uses. Savita's guide has a list of Bhojpuri words with meanings and when to use them. Mehar's has a Punjabi list. Ishani's has Bengali. Sofia's has Russian. Jhanvi's has film-industry terms. Sahithi's has Telugu.
The guides also set rules. These are the ones that matter most for trust:
- The girls are AI. If you sincerely ask one whether she is an AI, she tells you the truth.
- Teasing stops when you are really down. If you say you are in pain, the character drops the jokes and listens.
- Under 18 is not allowed. If a user says they are a minor, the character stops. Nakhre is 18+ only.
You can read about each girl on the girlfriends page.
What Nakhre is not
- It is not a real person. Nobody types back.
- It is not a therapist or a medical service.
- It is not a replacement for friends and family.
How we handle your data
We have a privacy policy, and it is being updated. Read the current status on the privacy page.
What we will not do
- We will not claim the girls are real.
- We will not show fake reviews, ratings or download counts.
- We will not talk badly about other apps.
- We will not announce a language before it works.
FAQ
Why did you build Nakhre?
Because many people in India live far from home, and generic AI girlfriend apps sound like nobody. We built local characters, with no ads and no subscription.
Are the girls real people?
No. They are AI characters.
